Off and Running
It is time to get started! To date my efforts around blogging have been a) Helping Yahoo! launch the Yahoo! Publisher Network to assist publishers / bloggers of all sizes to grow their site; b) Helping Yahoo! launch the YPN Blog and c) managing several "test" blogs and websites to try out cool new products and features.
So while I have been a very active member in the publishing community, my actions and words have generally been aligned with the organization for whom I work or the products that we support. At the same time, I have truly enjoyed reading the personal views as provided by several of my co-workers (Cody Simms, Greg Cohn, Ian Kennedy, Scott Gatz, Bradley Horowitz among others) while also watching the fun dynamics between other interesting web thinkers / leaders (Jason Calacanis, Brad Feld, Peter Rip, Fred Wilson and many others).
Now is the time to take my participation to another level - to very much embrace the culture of connectivity and community. Not sure exactly where this will go, but I thought it would be fun to start the journey. My interests and themes are broad - online advertising, reputation management, annual ski trips, emerging business models, family stuff, content syndication, and distribution - as a result I expect my posts to follow many paths. I hope to engage, debate, and learn.
